Marketing Manchester’s press team is currently in planning for the second iteration of the Worker Bee Weekender; Marketing Manchester’s revered travel influencer marketing project. The next event will target 100 American and European influencers and will take place Thursday 22 – Saturday 24 March 2018 (two nights).
Following some excellent partnership and knowledge sharing work in recent months, this second outing of the project will this time be delivered with London & Partners who will host influencers after their visit to Manchester, promoting open jaw travel between the two cities. There are also plans to deliver smaller, bespoke influencer visits for the GCC and China markets on Monday 26 and Tuesday 27 March 2018.
Member support is invaluable to make this ambitious project work and Marketing Manchester’s press team would be delighted to hear from any hotel, restaurant, bar or tourist attraction that would like to be involved by way of offering complimentary or heavily discounted rooms, meals and experiences over those particular dates. As with the previous iteration of the Worker Bee Weekender, this project is about created sustained long-term interest in Greater Manchester through inspiring content, which is aimed at a demographic that does not readily engage in traditional marketing or press campaigns.
Whilst members will very likely receive positive profiling and coverage, it should be noted that the project is aimed more broadly at creating new business across the city – particularly to inspire summer city breaks – and therefore any support for the project should be viewed as a long term investment in Greater Manchester’s visitor economy.
Please look out for further updates in coming weeks.
