Marketing Manchester extends partnership with Lancashire Cricket

Marketing Manchester is delighted to announce that we have extended our partnership with Lancashire Cricket for a further year until 2021.

The agreement will continue to see Visit Manchester work closely with the Club to drive visitors and spend to the Greater Manchester area, focusing on the high-profile cricket fixtures and award-winning Emirates Old Trafford venue.

Marketing Manchester, which is responsible for the Visit Manchester brand, is the agency charged with promoting Greater Manchester on the national and international stage to visitors, investors, conference organisers and students.

The partnership will continue to build on the work that the Club and Visit Manchester have started to boost visitors to the city, including enhancing the new Manchester-India partnership in conjunction with Visit Britain. As part of this, Lancashire Cricket recently attended an India Sales Mission in Mumbai and New Delhi, where representatives from the Club met with key travel agents in India to promote tourism to Manchester.

In addition, as part of the Lancashire Cricket pre-season tour in Mumbai, the Club is building relationships with travel and trade representatives in India through attending a number of networking events, which is a direct result of the partnership with Visit Manchester, as well as raising awareness of the Red Rose brand.

The Club is also hosting a business networking evening at The Deputy High Commissioner’s residence in Mumbai on Thursday 20 February evening where Club Officials, including Chief Executive Daniel Gidney, will meet with prospective clients and partners.

As part of the partnership, Visit Manchester will continue to be the lead partner on the Club’s Royal London Cup shirt and will also have a branded presence in-bowl at the stadium.
